A Phoenix Rising from the Ashes . . .

February 2010

However, in our case, it was more like a phoenix rising from the rubble of the freak accident that occurred on the morning of September 9, 2009.  Good news was that the driver came out without a scratch and no one was hurt.  Whew!  Bad news was that the defunct UPS store next door and the Blue Orchid Walpole suffered significant damages.  After four great years of service, Blue Orchid Walpole was forced to close its doors for the next five months.  Luckily, Blue Orchid Westwood was able to take over all Chinese take-out & delivery duties while its sister location was out of commission.

From this unfortunate event, we took the opportunity to revamp ourselves.  Blue Orchid Walpole has always been a popular Chinese restaurant with a very successful Sushi Bar.   Thus, our Walpole location has made the switch from Chinese to Japanese cuisine so that our loyal customers can get the best of both worlds.  Japanese cuisine from our Walpole location, and Chinese cuisine from our Westwood location.  Thus, Ginjo was born!  A full-service restaurant with Hibachi, Sushi Bar, Japanese Kitchen, Lounge, Take-Out & Delivery services.

We love our customers, and so we made sure that we didn't leave any one out when we decided to make this dramatic change.  Both Blue Orchid Westwood & Ginjo in Walpole still service the same towns as we did before:  Westwood, Walpole, Dover, Norwood, Dedham & Medfield.  The towns of Sharon & Norfolk are still only covered by Walpole at this time.

Our grand opening was Friday, February 5, 2010.  So come to Ginjo today for a fine dining experience.  You can choose to dine with a fiery show performed by our great Hibachi chefs, to savor every delicious creation from our authentic Japanese kitchen, and to check out the bite-size works of art made by our creative Sushi Bar to find out what everyone is raving about!  With all that great food, a great drink is a must.  So let our lounge staff serve you from our selection of popular wines, Japanese beverages, signature mixed cocktails and our fun Ginjo “mocktails”.
